For work, I often take correspondance down to ADOT. I've actually been delivering stuff there since my first internship (~6 years ago). Every time I walk by this bike rack/palm tree the word stubborn comes to mind.
I think of this word because they have obviously learned to co-habit the same place without giving an inch. Still, I think it would be much less stressful on them both had they compromised, and moved a little bit.

Id look at it like this...
Instead of each having to sacrifice a piece of themselves to the other in order to compromise, they have come to an understanding of how to work together as one entity. The perfect partnership...both parties working together equally and sharing the same space.
